🌟 Cowgirls, Big Changes Are Coming to Cowgirls Gathering! 🌟

As we enter 2025, we’ve been reflecting on everything that’s been accomplished so far and looking ahead to how we can make the Cowgirls Gathering even bigger and better. You only need to keep half an ear on the media to hear countless stories about rising costs and how many events are struggling to stay afloat. One of the most absurd comments we’ve heard about the Gathering is, “Someone must be making a lot of money.”

The reality is, while we are fortunate to have generous sponsors supporting competition prizes, this event is privately funded. That’s right … funded. But we’re committed to bringing you an event worth every penny!

As we enter our fifth year, we know that our model needs to evolve. So, we’ve made some key changes and brought in the big guns, these incredible women who are helping lead Cowgirls Gathering into the future!

Meet the Core Team Leading the Charge:

  • Amanda Hancock, Animal Welfare Director – Ensuring our animals are cared for with expertise and compassion.
  • Jodie Ferdinand, Cattle Manager – Looking after our cattle with care and gratitude.
  • Karon Sharp-Robertson, Creative Director – Inspiring the team and balancing creativity with busy event schedules.
  • Keristi Price, Chief Operating Officer – Leading the charge on operations, creating a seamless experience for all involved.
  • Michelle Toohey, Vendor Manager – After a very successful 2024 Mini Gathering, Michelle has stepped up into the role to cover all vendors for 2025.
  • Steph Dunnachie, Education Director – Empowering women and bringing meaningful learning opportunities to our community.
  • Vera Gentner, Sponsorship Manager – Securing top-tier sponsors to elevate the event to new heights!
  • Wanda Britton, Chief Financial Officer – The brains behind ensuring our event stays financially sustainable, and we’ll be looking into negotiations with current suppliers.

And that’s just the beginning! There are so many other amazing volunteers working behind the scenes. We’ll be sharing their full bios in the coming months to do them justice!

We are also launching Cowgirls Cahoot, a brand-new, exclusive ticket option for just 100 members. This is the ultimate Super Ticket that will help set our operating budget for 2025. This initiative is our way of creating more opportunities for connection and ensuring year-round engagement with our incredible community.
