This class will be held on Saturday the 1st of October at 11am in the Campdraft arena for one hour! In order to purchase a ticket to this class you must also have an entry ticket to the event (you can also buy this ticket and your entry ticket at the same time).

What to expect? Many equine sports have a roping element involved from ranch trail, rodeo roping and cowboy racing. It can be a fun and challenging skill to learn. It can be easier to learn than you may think. This class will help you get started with the basics.
This class is done without horses. Starting on the ground and practising with roping dummies under the instruction of Jo McConnel. You will learn how to handle the rope, build and loop and techniques to help you become accurate with throwing it correctly and catching your target.
What to wear? Closed toe riding boots, a hat & sunscreen!
What to bring? Sunscreen, hat and a rope if you have one. Please note this is a horseless class (so please do not bring your trustee steed).
Where to be and when? Saturday the 1st of October at 11am in the Campdraft. Please arrive 10 mins early and check in with your ticket to our volunteer staff upon arrival.
Age Restrictions – Anyone can enter this class that is 8 years and older at the time of the event.
Maximum number of students – This class will be only be taking 30 students! But remember you are welcome to watch from the sideline.
What if you can no longer make it?
Please notify us via email at [email protected] as soon as possible. If there is a waitlist your place will offered to the next person on the waiting list, once paid then your refund will be given. If there is no waitlist and you are able to find someone to take your ticket, we will do a name change for free but only upto 7 days ahead of the event. If this occurs in the week leading up or during the event please report to the headquarters and notify them of your withdrawal.
When do entries close?
Entries will closed when the allocation has been completed, once your order has been processed you will get a ticket number to the competition and this confirms your allocation to the event.
