I grew up in the Blue Mountains of NSW, Australia, surrounded by bush and dreaming of horses. I was riding pretend ponies and borrowed ponies until I was able to ride my own. After seeing a picture of a horse with a western saddle in a Little Golden Book, I’m pretty sure there was no turning back!
I left home, had a family and a career as an Interior Designer, but always kept dreaming of riding across the open plains. This has become reality for me. On our property or traveling, learning and riding through spectacular landscapes.
I now live on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland. Our property is called, Running Creek Ranch, where I’m lucky enough to have an art studio, overlooking the horses paddock!
From here I began to sell my artwork, locally in Australia and to collectors in USA, Canada and Europe.
I’m intrigued with the similarities between making art and being a horse woman. The patience and commitment to learning and progressing. The art and beauty of horses – the time, the traditions and how all the small pieces weave together to create a bigger picture.
Collaborations and commissions have stirred a true passion within me over the last few years and Cowgirls Gathering has been created from this. Amanda, Naomi and I have joined together to simply share our love of horses, education and experiences.
Let’s celebrate the beauty of a Cowgirl and her horse.
