Availability and commitment

Each role carries its own time commitment, set out in the role description you have read above. Some roles meet a few times a year, others more often and more intensively in the lead up to (and at) each Gathering. Please make sure the commitment for your role is one you can realistically meet across the year, not only around event time.

Tell us honestly what you can commit to. A clear picture now helps everyone, and it is better to name a limit than to overcommit.

What are conflict of interests?

A conflict of interest is any personal, financial, family, or business interest that could influence, or reasonably appear to influence, how you act in your CG role. This includes supplying goods or services to Cowgirls Gathering, holding a financial interest in a CG sponsor, partner, supplier, or competitor, being related to or in a close relationship with another board or committee member, contractor, sponsor, or applicant, holding a role with a competing equestrian event or organisation, or receiving gifts or hospitality from a CG partner. I also understand that the Cowgirls Gathering name and trademark are owned by Cabalina Park Pty Ltd and licensed to the CG operating entity.

By nominating for this role, I confirm I have considered all of the above. I agree to disclose below any interest I currently hold, to raise any new or changed interest as soon as it arises, and to step back from any decision where I have a material interest.

If your role is accepted, it's your responsiblity to be sure you register any new potential conflicts of interest again but using this form.

Declaration of gifts and benefits

A gift or benefit is anything of value offered to you because of your CG role, whether or not you accept it. This includes money, products, discounts, hospitality, event tickets, travel, or accommodation, from a CG sponsor, partner, supplier, applicant, or anyone with an interest in a CG decision. Token items of nominal value (roughly under $250) do not need to be declared. Anything above that, or anything of any value that could reasonably be seen to influence how you act in your role, must be declared, whether you accepted or declined it.

By nominating for this role, I agree to declare any such gift or benefit below, to raise any new offer as soon as it arises, and to decline anything that could compromise, or appear to compromise, my role at CG.
