More than a hundred sessions run across nine areas and zones from Thursday bump-in to Sunday's finals. Main Arena demonstrations run about an hour; clinics and most talks run two — and every session card shows its exact start and finish time, so you can plan your run sheet without missing half of anything. Clinics are hands-on and ticketed; demonstrations, wellbeing talks and most creative and entertainment sessions are open to all.

Cowgirls Gathering
2025Program
Kilkivan · 3–5 Oct
PDFFull programSite map + camping
Every session, arena and detail — on paper.
Download the complete 2025 program to plan your weekend: the full day-by-day schedule, educator line-up, session-type guide, official photographers, the grounds site map and all the camping and horse-yard detail. Save it, print it, or send it to whoever's helping you plan the trip.
Please leave enough time between your events. Competitions start with checking in — gear check and a briefing with the judge. There are no competition numbers, so make sure your name is marked off and your wristband is on.
Clinic
Hands-on, skills-based sessions guided by our educators — developing your horsemanship, refining technique and building confidence. Each clinic runs TWO hours and is open to 10 riders. No clinic ticket? You can still watch from the sidelines, even on horseback.
Demonstration
Watch our educators work real horses through real situations in the Main Arena. Demonstrations run about an hour each, back to back — the perfect way to soak up ideas, ask questions and see technique in action.
Human & Animal Wellbeing
Led by equine professionals, wellbeing educators and special guest speakers, sharing insight into the physical, emotional and energetic care of both horse and human. Open to all, no booking required.
Creative Class
Unleash your inner artist or maker — leatherwork, horse-hair braiding, painting, DIY jewellery and Stomp & Scuff line dancing. All about fun, expression and learning something new (no horse required).
Competition
Put your skills to the test in a fun, supportive way — racing the clock or showcasing your style, with cheers, prizes and plenty of cowgirl spirit. Watch from the sidelines even without a competition ticket.
Entertainment
Live music every evening — bands on the Main Stage, plus the bar open late.
Say cheese
Official photographers.
Our three official photographers rotate across the Main Arena, Campdraft and roaming the grounds all weekend.

Set up camp
Where you'll bunk down.
Glamping
Glamping, cowgirl style. All glamping sites must be pre-booked on our website. Glamping bell tents do not include your General Admission ticket — that must be purchased separately.
Camping with Horses
Bringing a horse? You’ll camp in the Camping with Horses area. Not bringing a horse but want to camp with friends who are? That’s fine. Please note there is no power in this section, so plan accordingly.
Camping without Horses
Not bringing a horse and don’t want to camp with someone who is? This is your area. Power is very limited — first in, best dressed. Need power for medical reasons? Let us know and you’ll be given priority.
Educator Camping
Reserved exclusively for our horse educators and roped off for their use. Only four power points in this area, so educators please plan accordingly.
Horse Yards
No yards of your own, or just want to skip the hassle? Pre-book yards on our website. Each yard is 6.4m x 4.2m, made from sturdy cattle panels for a safe, secure setup.
Staying Off-site
Staying off the grounds at local accommodation in Kilkivan, Goomeri or Gympie? Be sure to come back with your wristband on — it gives you quicker access to re-enter the grounds.
Important — horse access & dogs. Horses are only allowed in the Main Arena, Campdraft Arena, Camping with Horses and the Educator Camping Area. All other areas, including roadways between these zones, are horse-free. Cowgirls Gathering is a dog-free event — applications to bring a dog (e.g. for medical or working purposes) must be made before purchasing your ticket. These guidelines are part of our insurance policy — thank you for your understanding.
Good to know
Before you saddle up.
No — Cowgirls Gathering is a strictly DOG-FREE event. For the safety of the horses, riders and stock, dogs are not permitted anywhere on the grounds. Applications to bring a dog for genuine medical or working purposes must be made and approved before you purchase your ticket. This is part of our insurance policy — thank you for understanding.
A three-day program — Friday 3 to Sunday 5 October 2025 — at Kilkivan Showgrounds, 88 Mudlo Rd, Kilkivan QLD 4600. General ticket holders can bump in from 12 noon on Thursday 2 October, ready for a full first day on Friday.
Across three program days (Friday, Saturday and Sunday) there are 100+ sessions running side-by-side in nine areas and zones. Demonstrations run about an hour; clinics and most talks run two hours — each session card shows its exact start and finish time, so leave enough time between your events and you won’t miss half of anything. The program is subject to change.
Every session is colour-coded by type — Demonstration, Clinic, Human & Animal Wellbeing, Creative Class, Competition and Entertainment. Use the legend and the filter buttons above the schedule to jump straight to what you’re after.
Clinics run two hours and are limited to 10 participants, so they’re ticketed. No clinic ticket? You’re still welcome to watch from the sidelines, even on horseback.
Competitions start with checking in (gear check etc.) and a briefing with the judge. There are no competition numbers, so make sure your name is marked off on arrival — you won’t be able to compete without your wristband on.
Horses are only allowed in the Main Arena, Campdraft Arena, Camping with Horses and the Educator Camping Area. All other areas, including the roadways between these zones, are horse-free. Cowgirls Gathering is also a dog-free event.
