Cowgirls Gathering is a women-led equine expereince designed for those who share a passion for the horse lifestyle, regardless of discipline or background.

Established in 2021, Cowgirls Gathering brings women together through thoughtfully designed multi-day events that combine riding, learning, and meaningful connection. From larger signature gatherings to more intimate immersive formats, each experience is built around quality, inclusivity, and community.

More than an event, Cowgirls Gathering creates space for women from all walks of life to connect through horses, build confidence, and form lasting friendships, both in and out of the saddle.

What’s coming up for 2026?

Cowgirls Mini Gathering 2026 will run for five immersive days, from Monday 28 September to Friday 2 October 2026.

This intentionally smaller gathering will bring together 50 women and 5 instructors, creating a focused, high-quality experience built around horsemanship, learning, and connection. The Mini Gathering is designed for those who value time, depth, and a calm, supportive environment.

If you’re looking for the larger Cowgirls Gathering experience, our Big Gathering will return in 2027. More details on that event will be shared closer to the date.

Cowgirls Gathering Timeline

2021 – The first Cowgirls Gathering is held at Kilkivan Showgrounds over the Queen’s Birthday long weekend, bringing cowgirls together for the very first time to celebrate horses, horsemanship, and community.

2022 – The Gathering returns to Kilkivan Showgrounds, welcoming even more women and continuing to build momentum within the cowgirl community.

2023 – Cowgirls travel from near and far to Kilkivan Showgrounds for another vibrant Queen’s Birthday long weekend celebration.

2024 – The Inaugural Mini Gathering launches as a five-day immersive experience, offering a more intimate format while maintaining the heart of Cowgirls Gathering.

2025 – The bi-annual “Big” Cowgirls Gathering returned to Kilkivan Showgrounds for three action-packed days of equine lifestyle fun and connection.
